Silane’s applications are broad and driving technological advances across industries, including polysilicon for the solar and semiconductor supply chains.

Vytas’s competitive advantage is utilising carbon-free nanoporous silicon and a low-energy conversion process to produce mono-silane (SiH₄), a precursor to polysilicon. This route has the potential to materially lower the carbon footprint of the traditional polysilicon process.

Vytas’ strategy is to work with partners in the solar and semiconductor industries to accelerate commercialisation and scale production of carbon free silane and polysilicon, resetting the benchmark on price globally.
